Get an API key

Connect UniFi Protect

logrrr reads UniFi Protect's built-in Alarm Manager webhooks directly. No plugin, no extra hardware, no separate NVR.

  1. Open Alarm Manager

    In UniFi Protect, go to Settings → System → Alarm Manager (some consoles list it directly under Settings) and select Create Alarm.

  2. Set the trigger

    Under ID Recognition, choose License Plate Recognition and check Unknown Vehicles and Known Vehicles — add Vehicle of Interest too if you maintain a watch list.

  3. Set the scope

    Choose Include and select the LPR-capable cameras you want logrrr to receive events from. Select all of them for full site coverage.

  4. Add a webhook action

    Add Action → Webhook → Custom Webhook. Paste the webhook URL from the panel above into Delivery URL and set the method to POST.

  5. Turn on thumbnails

    Under Advanced Settings, enable Use Thumbnails so plate snapshots come through with each event and show up in your activity feed.

  6. Save and test

    Save the alarm, then drive or walk a plate past a covered camera. The detection should appear in your logrrr activity feed within a few seconds.

Menu names vary slightly by UniFi OS version. Alarm Manager sits under Settings → System on most consoles, or Settings → Alarm Manager directly on newer ones. The Trigger and Scope structure is the same either way.
Works with any LPR-capable UniFi Protect camera, including the AI 360, AI Pro, AI Port with a third-party camera, and G4 Doorbell Pro PTZ.

Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the email address tied to your account and the detection data UniFi Protect sends to your webhook: timestamp, camera identifier, plate text, region/state if provided, confidence score, direction, and a thumbnail image if you've enabled thumbnails. We also collect basic billing and support contact information.

2. How we use it

We use this information to operate the service: storing and indexing detections, generating your dashboards and reports, calculating usage-based billing, and responding to support requests.

3. Where data lives

All application data and infrastructure run in AWS US East (us-east-1). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

4. How long we keep it

Detection data is kept for the activity retention period set on your plan and automatically removed once it ages out. If you close your account, remaining data is deleted within 30 days.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the infrastructure and payment sub-processors required to run the service (currently AWS and our billing provider), or when legally required to.

6. Your rights

You can export or delete your detection data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing support@logrrr.com.

7. Children

logrrr is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll post the update here and adjust the date above.

1. Acceptance

By creating a logrrr account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

logrrr receives license plate detection events forwarded from your UniFi Protect system's Alarm Manager webhooks, stores them, and provides search, dashboards and reporting on that data.

3. Your account and API keys

You're responsible for keeping your API key confidential and for all activity that comes through it. Keys can be rotated or revoked at any time from Settings.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use logrrr only for lawful surveillance and operational purposes, and to comply with any laws in your jurisdiction governing the collection, notice, and retention of license plate data. You may not use logrrr to harass, stalk, or unlawfully monitor an individual.

5. Plans and billing

The Free plan is limited to 1 camera, 7 days of activity retention, and 10 MB of data storage. Paid plans are billed monthly in arrears based on measured usage: $10 per connected camera, $1 per month of activity retention, and $1 per GB of data stored. Accounts with unpaid balances may be suspended.

6. Data ownership

You own the detection data your cameras generate. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

We work to keep logrrr available and reliable but provide the service on an as-is, best-effort basis without an uptime guarantee on the Free plan.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, logrrr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.

11. Changes

We'll update the date above if these terms change materially and, where required, notify you by email.
